Growing everything here in the U.P. Michigan has been both a challenge and an adventure. We really enjoy all the critters here at the farm. By April, they can't wait to get outside. The weather here is another story! If you rush to get them outside, it can be a problem because the weather is too cool. Instead, we nurse them along until the end of May. By then both us are ready to be outside. Warning ! ... those winter like chills can be fatal. They find a special place on the farm in a southern sunny spot where they can enjoy themselves . Here they continue to grow until December when the cold returns. During Winter the 4ft high snowbanks are bouncing that strong winter sun into the windows and we all feel like being outside. Once the conditions are right, they go back outside to take their rightful place on the farm!
Be sure to check back with us frequently as things are changing as we are learning. You might like the new pictures you see or the ideas created as we are inspired.

FEED THE ANIMALS! Our first year on the farm was a challenge ... local visitors helped out by donating used items to help with animal housing after touring the farm. In 2016, one of our goals is to raise money to help us build a big barn, fence in pastures and feed the animals. Virtual farm visitors can donate to help us grow the farm. Your support is greatly appreciated!
